Pre-Employment Application Form

 

To begin the application process for the Illinois State Police Trooper position, individuals may now complete the Pre-Employment Application Form linked below prior to paying the application/testing fee.  

Applicants will be required to successfully complete the Physical Fitness Inventory Test ("PFIT") first, then immediately directed to complete the Recruitment Examination Testing Process on the same day.  Applicants will be required to pay the $30 Application Fee to the Merit Board’s third-party vendor, IO Solutions, at the time of the Recruitment Exam administration.  The Recruitment Exam cannot be administered until the fee has been paid. 

Please note: all minimum requirements, including education or military requirements MUST be met before the Pre-Employment Application Form is submitted. Proof will be required.  Failure to provide the required documentation will result in removal from the process. Click here to view the requirements.

If an applicant would like to request an application fee waiver, they must obtain the Board's approval for the waiver request PRIOR to their test date.  All applicants will be expected to pay the $30 testing fee on the date of their exam.  Click here to view the application fee waiver program information.
