PROMOTIONAL TEST DATES
 
 
Testing to the rank of Lieutenant and Captain is scheduled for the week of September 20-24, 2021. 
Individual information will be released at a later date. Testing will take place at the Illinois State Police Merit Board Office in Springfield. Click the link below for an address and map:

 PROMOTIONAL TEST READING LIST 

 
The Reading Lists for the 2021 Promotional Process to the rank of Lieutenant and Captain are now posted.

 PROMOTIONAL TEST DECLARATION
 
 
In order to participate in the 2021 Promotional Process all candidates must:
  • Complete a Test Declaration Form
  • Participate in the 2021 Ratings Process
  • Have obtained and provided proof of a bachelor's degree by July 30, 2021
 
The Test Declaration Form will be available from
8:00 AM on June 25, 2021 until 4:00 PM on July 30, 2021

Promotional Process Log-In

  

To be eligible to participate in the 2021 Promotional Process, you must have obtained and provided the Merit Board with an official copy of your transcripts showing a bachelor’s degree earned by 4:00 PM on July 30, 2021.
 
In order to verify your education, you must have a sealed official copy of your college or university transcripts indicating the degree obtained, and the date the degree was obtained mailed to:

Official electronic transcripts may be submitted to: efox@ispmeritboard.org
 

Official transcripts must be received by 4:00 PM on July 30, 2021.
 
 

Please note: If you have provided transcripts for previous promotional testing cycle (2015, 2017, or 2019) you do not need to provide a new copy. Transcripts provided at the time of application/hire will not be used to verify education for the Promotional Process.
